Spotify is being hailed as a “game-changer” for music streaming services.
The singer-songwriter, who is best known for her hit hit single “Love Me Do”, has also been dubbed a “Game Changer” by Apple.
She has spoken about the streaming services influence on her music and said the company’s success has given people “a chance to really explore the music they love without fear”.
“It is a fantastic time for music.
I’m excited about the music that I’m listening to and I’ve been listening to it since I was 11 years old,” she said.
“The idea of Spotify has really inspired me.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt so confident in my own abilities.”
Spotify launched in 2012 and now boasts more than 60 million users worldwide.
She also said the service has given her an opportunity to share her music with people she doesn’t know or has never met.
“It has given me the opportunity to connect with a new generation, it has allowed me to discover the world outside of my comfort zone,” she told the BBC.
